The Northern California Section of the American Institute
of Chemical Engineers will host its 39th annual
one-day symposium on Thursday, April 26th, 2001
at Stanfords Research Institute (SRI) campus in Menlo
Park. This year's symposium theme is:

Theme: Semiconductors, New Frontier of Chemical
Engineering
Symposium topics will address the technological
revolution underway in Silicon Valley and will cover the
fundamentals of semiconductor processing, novel materials,
lithography solutions, transistor structures and
environmentally benign processing

which includes one registrant. If you would like to book a

Symposium Sponsorship
Organizations wishing to sponsor the symposium, please
donate $1000. Your organization logo will be displayed on
the program and at the symposium venue. Smaller or larger
donations are also welcome. Your donations will be deposited
into AIChEs Scholarship Fund to sponsor high school

The theme of 1998 and 1999 symposia was innovation in
biotechnology. Over 120 people attended. Last year, over 140
engineers and scientists attended a symposium on
semiconductors. This year, we expect over 150 attendees.

Conference Auditorium is from Middlefield
Road.
By Car: Take Marsh Road exit from Highway 101.
Take Marsh Road heading West (away from the Bay). Turn left
at junction with Middlefield Road. Continue through three
traffic lights. At intersection with Ravenswood Avenue,
continue straight. SRI conference parking is to the
right.
By Train and Foot: Take Caltrain to Menlo Park
Station. Walk South to Ravenswood Avenue and turn left.
Continue on (about five minutes walk) until just before you
reach Middlefield Road. SRI Internationals I Building
is the large white building on the right.
