The Northern California Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers will host its 38th annual one-day symposium on Friday, April 21st, at Stanford’s Research Institute (SRI) campus in Menlo Park. This year's symposium theme is:

The Semiconductor Industry: Challenges and Solutions for the 21st Century

Symposium topics will address the technological revolution underway in Silicon Valley and will cover the fundamentals of semiconductor processing, novel materials, lithography solutions, transistor structures and the role of equipment, material suppliers and the impact of information technology on the semiconductor industry.

By Car: Take Marsh Road exit from Highway 101. Take Marsh Road heading West (away from the Bay). Turn left at junction with Middlefield Road. Continue through three traffic lights. At intersection with Ravenswood Avenue, continue straight. SRI conference parking is to the right.

By Train and Foot: Take Caltrain to Menlo Park Station. Walk South to Ravenswood Avenue and turn left. Continue on (about five minutes walk) until just before you reach Middlefield Road. SRI International’s I Building is the large white building on the right.
