The World of Sake
Takara Sake

Takara Sake is a member of Takara Group, the leading corporation of alcohol-related business and biotechnology based in Japan. Takara has great experience in producing Shochu, Mirin and Sake for more than one and a half centuries. Because Takara's main business endeavors depended heavily on the mastery of natural processes such as fermentation, the Company feels a strong responsibility toward preserving the natural environment.

Takara Sake USA was established in 1982 in Berkeley, CA. The main products produced in Berkeley are the "Sho Chiku Bai" brand of Sake, "Takara Mirin" and Plum wine.

The meeting will including a Sake tasting, a presentation on the production of Sake as well as the activities of Takara.
