The Wireless Workplace: The Future of the Untethered Engineer, Ian McPherson
Abstract Bio In 2001 he founded the Wireless Data Research Group, a syndicated market research firm specializing in enterprise and industrial wireless technologies, where he served as President for 3 years until it was sold. In 2004 he co-founded Apprion, a venture-funded start up located at NASA Ames Research Center that delivers a management and security platform for industrial wireless technologies to be used in process manufacturing facilities. He is currently the Vice President of Marketing there. Ian is recognized as a leading expert in the area of industrial wireless technology and related applications through his extensive research and consulting relationships with leading vendors, investors and trade organizations. Ian also brings an extensive background in product development for the networking and communications industry at AT&T, Narus and Sigma Networks. In addition to numerous publications on industrial and enterprise wireless technology, Ian is a fellow at the Wireless Internet Institute (Wi2) and frequent speaker on the topic of industrial and enterprise wireless technologies Reservations requested by End of Day Monday, January 15.
